his large man has been guarding this ancient hallway since the library
was built.  Even though he is old, he still looks as though he could kill
you in a fight very easily.  Although most of the elders are trained
primarily in magical combat, Alioth is also quite a dangerous fighter.
Luckily, he will probably let you pass by safely if you claim to be here
doing research.
He is a human approximately 5'7" tall.
