Deep in the far western end of this once mighty lava tube lay a large
cavern whose walls are covered from floor to ceiling in thick sheets of ice.
Behind and below the ice on most walls and the floor large layers of rock
and sediment can be seen.  The ceiling and part of the northwest wall are
almost completely transparent indeed the wall and ceiling are solely
composed of ice.  Painstakingly slow, a sheet of water droplets run down the
ice wall as it melts like hundreds of teardrops and form a pool at its base
only to refreeze.  The endless dripping and refreezing has formed a dias of
icy steps surrounding a large pool of refreshing water.  
     A refreshing ring of pure ice melt has pooled upon the floor.
