Steep hills surround this narrow valley, leaving only a narrow trail to
traverse.  To the east, the trail rises rapidly out of the valley and snakes
up the side of a very steep cliff.  The rugged mountain wilderness of
Beltane lies to the west.  Either path poses unique threats to an unwary or
ill-prepared adventurer.  There are surprisingly few animals here and only
the faint sound of trickling water breaks the otherwise perfect silence.  
     A shallow pool of rain water lies here.
