Skilled artisans painstakingly laid the ancient cobblestones from Scrane
Lane in an elaborate pattern with the more modern bricks of Steadfast for
this the major crossroad in Tellerium.  Hectic traffic races along the
street circling the hub of Town Square, pedestrians slipping off to the
fountain in the center.  North leads into the newly built residential
district.  East is Palazzo Fountain and Scrane Lane leads back to the west. 
     A tall obelisk radiates a blanket of magical silence all around it.
A squab is looking for scraps when you scare it.
