The Avros Courthouse is a nice enough building, impressive marble pillars
and enough inlay and plaster detailing to make you dizzy, yet somehow it
seems drab and gray.  A pall hangs over the whole building, reducing the
dramatic impact of the architecture.  Criminals and victims alike dread
coming to this place where lives hang in the balance.  It's a necessary part
of civilization but few enjoy it.
