The Lair of Bolse, Prince Behemoth                     -      -      -

Claws and fangs proving much more effective than the picks of the
draconic miners in Vaatt's coal mine, the staging shaft has been expanded
into a gigantic, rubble-strewn cavern by the current inhabitant. There are
signs to suggest that this tunnel was naturally formed, or completed some
time before the Miner's Guild intruded upon the mighty behemoth's slumber.
Wreckage of mine carts and abandoned mining tools have been displaced
haphazzardly to accomodate a grisly pile of assorted bodies, dracons, humans
and various beasts included in various stages of decay and dismemberment.
Cut into the wall behind the chain-pulley system are hand- and foot-holds,
leading up to the staging shaft.
**A mighty behemoth lairs here, fur and fangs stained with blood.

The behemoth are one of the mightiest races to ever exist in Alyria,
physically stronger, faster, and heavier than other feared creatures of
legend such as dragons, titans and nucklavee. Due to the obvious danger
presented, they were hunted and culled in a great expedition of the ancient
days, forcing the few survivors into caverns or burrows deep underground.
Through this extreme change of climate, starvation was rife, and the only
solution was hibernation - and so the behemoths sleep, until roused by
excavation or intrusion. This has lead many to mistakenly classify them as
earth elementals, but it's clear evidence in the enormous size of Bolse, the
unparalled agression, the pride and strength, that these massive predators
are entirely sentient and remarkably dangerous.
He is a catoblepas approximately 24'11" tall.
Bolse, the Prince Behemoth is in good health.
