  This eastern section of the southern hallway is lined with castle guards
taking shifts doing their rounds and keeping the general peace.  There are
also several various other people passing through the area while going about
their business.  The hallway is very well lighted with lanterns hanging from
hooks at regular intervals.  
One of the local dancers is here showing some wild dance moves.

  To the south is the entrance to the room that the guards refer to as "The
Nest."  It is a room where the guards who are assigned to accompany the Lord
of the Keep on any excursions wait until they are summoned.  This set of
rooms tends to be rather stuffy and hot which makes the guards within very
short tempered.

times.  He appears to be in his mid thirties, and has a long, scraggly
brown beard shot with streaks of gray.  Adorning the top of his head is a
dented, plain silver crown that looks to be slightly tarnished in spots.  
Held in one hand is a long metal rod with a rusty star on one end that he
frequently waves in animated gestures when he speaks, causing tiny bluish
sparks to glow in the air as the wand passes through it.
He is a human approximately 5'8" tall.

understand the need for guards stationed to watch over those that go near
them.

  Red carpet lines the floor of the room and leads to the throne room far
to the north.  This section of the keep is heavily patrolled by the guards
who are hall, keeping a watchful eye on visitors.  There are polished marble
benches with thick cushions on them placed along walls where people
desiring an audience with the Lord of the Keep may wait.

  Serving carts and a few other large kitchen accessories sit along the
side of the wall.  The aroma of freshly prepared duck and chicken wafts
through the air, practically beckoning you to follow its scent.  The
banterings of a few of the castle chefs and servants can be heard not too
far off to the north.

  This is the throne room where Lord Maldra holds audience.  It is a bit
larger than the other rooms in this section of the keep and is decorated
almost completely in marble.  The throne he sits upon is a marvelous work of
art which has been created from various different shades of marble.  A
smaller throne room for the Lady of the Keep is to the west.
