  The entrance to the small cave shows more signs of activity as you near
it.  Large footprints and rubbish litter the area.  Signs of recent activity
show a large group seems to have moved past here recently.  The walls to the
entrance are covered with scratch marks from some long hideous edged weapon,
and the floors are worn smooth.  Upon closer examination, you realize that
the prints were made by a group of giants.  A old and broken sign, half
covered in dirt lays here.

  This cave seems very dangerous and very man-made as you examine further
into the cave.  The walls are covered in strange sigils and runes of some
unknown language.  The cave glows with a soft blue glow, that radiates from
the walls themselves.  The glow dims and soon diminishes behind you, and
brightens ahead.  Some runes cover the walls, somewhat readable.

in streaks along the walls of the hole.  A set of stairs has been carved in
to the side of the hole, leaving a gaping hole in the center.  Peering down
the hole, a glowing red circle can be seen through the rising heat trails.

  As you walk down the stairwell carved from, what seems to be volcanic
basalt, you notice that runes have been carved all along the walls.  The
stairs are ground and polished to an almost smooth glowing luster, that you
seem to be able to see your reflection stare back at you.

  As you walk down the stairwell carved from, what seems to be volcanic

  Finally, you have reached the bottom of the stairwell, a small sign has
been etched into the volcanic rock.  Your vision is slightly blinded as the
heat from the burning pool of lava burns your eyes.  The sweat begins to
roll off your heated armor, sizzling as it drops to the floor.  In the
center of the room, a large pool of lava, bubbles and churnes as fresh lava
oozes up from the depths, and pours out in all cardinal directions.
 
In the middle of the lava pool there floats a glowing stone tablet seemingly
unmarred by the heat of the lava.

  The stream of molten lava abruptly ends as you enter into a large cavern.
Worn by the action of water over the many eons, large stalagtites have been
formed on the ceilings.  Towering stalagmites rise from the floor struggling
to reach the ceiling high above.  The trickle of water can be heard, echoing
throughout the large cavern.  You can hear the shrieking and high-pitched
shrills of some strange animals unseen in the darkness.

  As you travel deeper and deeper into the cavern's underground stream, the
air becomes more and more moist, as the water starts to make the air humid.
A source of heat must be near-by, as there is no ice anywhere to be found,
although the water is just as cold.  To the west is a small side stream, and
to the south, the sounds of rushing water can be heard, even louder now.  
A small white salamander slithers about in the cold.

of your eye, just at the edge of your vision, but when you shift your gaze
