This is the center of the circular plateau that has the altar of Dira in
its center. The wind currents in here are so strong that you feel like you
are going to be whisked into the air any second now. The shape of the altar
matches the circular shape of the platform. There is a hole in the middle
of the altar where the high priest would stand to perform a ceremony. There
are two small platforms on the edges of the center that you can exit to, on
your right and left.

You are just east of the center of the elevated platform that serves as
the temple's altar. Here is where the priests must stand to lecture to the
crowds that gather in the seating area all around the circular plateau.
There is a giant stone pillar just to the north of here which has a door in
it! You are very interested in seeing what could be inside a stone column.

After walking through the wooden door that serves as the entrance to the
pillar, you meet with the beginning of a long narrow spiral staircase that
ascends upwards to the second floor of the temple. The staircase seems to
be made out of the same material of the pillar. Whoever carved the inside
of this spent an awful lot of time and energy.

 At the Top of the Stone Pillar                         -      N      -

This is where the staircase from the altar rises to. Like the first
floor, there are many columns on the edges of this floor too. Walking
around these pillars is very dangerous for you might just slip and fall to
your death. You notice small ledges extending out over the second floor
that give you a great view of the town of Xaventry. Unfortunately, to go
out on one of these spikes would take quite an acrobatic maneuver to prevent
falling. Also, the wind here is as fierce as it was below.

The second floor of the temple is much like the first except that the
pillars of stone are much smaller and the ceiling is not as high above you.
The floor is similarly made of the same dried clay, and there is even a red
carpet leading down the center of the second floor to the north where a
small stone room rests. You notice there are no statues up here, probably
because the second floor can't support as much weight as the base can.

do not want to go on a mental journey, leave quickly! Otherwise, you sit
down and begin meditating in unison with the other priests.

he is a ranger, (i think) why did he not have calm herbs/smoke bombs just in case he got attacked? Not to mention the number one rule in cpk, always have cb pots...
