This narrow hallway leads behind the throne of the Fey Queen. The
ceiling is low and the walls are close together, but this hall is not
boring. The walls are covered in colored paper, and the ceiling has been
painted a bright red. There is no furniture here, but this room is still
appealing. The hallway runs back to the west, and a large wooden door is to
the northeast.
You sense a hidden life form in the area.

You feel a sudden rush of motion...

This is an elaborate wrought-iron staircase that climbs up and descends
down through a dimly lit stairwell. You find your purchase on the steps to
be a precarious one, as there is no railing. You can hear the clicks and
whirrs of the machinery that controls the clock many stories above you. As
the machinery runs, it vibrates the entire tower in a way that is almost
calming to the nerves. A landing is directly below you, through which the
descending staircase passes.
