Flags: none When you look inside, you see: Nothing. Amateur artificers are rare not just in Alyria, but everywhere, and for good reason. There are not just a handful of artificers at any time, but a handful of artificers at all- a byproduct of their long lives and solitary natures is the rarity of their art. Feared, admired, hidden and complacent, they while their times away engaging in a practice without a history of apprenticeship or mentees. This results in not many amateur artificers, as does the danger of artificing itself. A literally infinite number of things can go wrong at any step in the process, a fact that most practitioners gloss over as their nimble minds and fingers create matter exponentially faster than other minds can even process the fear. One of those possible errors, and its commensurately inenviable results, is what you see before you: a man bound to his box. This is not necessarily a permanent state, but it is a delicate one. It is possible for him to get out, should he be able to extricate himself by the same means that he got in with. On the other hand, it is infinitely more likely that he will simply worsen the process- and possibly become something without the potential to reverse the effects.
