Ethne read inscription
As the party traveled along the path, the low crackling sound grew louder
and louder in their ears. Finally, they turned the final corner,
encountering an intense wall of heat. The room before them was filled with
molten lava, and a small platform large enough for one person to stand upon
lay in the center.
Suddenly, a great beast arose from within the molten rock, bellowing in
anger. The massive red creature resembled a winged serpent, and flames
belched forth from its mouth.
As the dreaded lava wyrm turned to face the band, the cavalier stepped
forward. Standing in the center of the small platform, he raised his pair
of enchanted weapons in the air. The monster sent a ball of flames racing
towards him, but the icy chill of his mace countered the effect. With a
quick strike, the warrior delivered a crippling blow with the small steel
mace. The wyrm bellowed in pain, and lashed out with its razor-sharp teeth.
However, the cavalier nimbly dodged out of its way, and struck with his
magical flail.
The flail of might embedded itself in the wyrm's skull with a resounding
crack, and as the creature sunk back into the pool Tristan stood victorious.
The party continued on their way, ready to journey on to the next level.

quick strike, the warrior delivered a crippling blow with the small steel
mace. The wyrm bellowed in pain, and healed its wounds by sipping from the
magma pool beneath. Back and forth volleyed the enemies, dealing damage as
quickly as it was healed, and recovering from wounds as soon as they were
opened.
The bard, ears pricked by melodic sounds not of this world, wandered off,
only to discover a route of water alien to Alyria. He dug it up, revealing
both its extraplanar origins and its propensity to seek out heat. The
cavalier, weary from his ceaseless battle, was about to give up, when the
stream of water appeared beneath the great wyrm, and scalded it every time
it attempted to rejuvenate itself in the magma. The path to victory now
clear, the cavalier struck out with his magical flail.
The flail of might embedded itself in the wyrm's skull with a resounding
crack, and as the creature sunk back into the pool Tristan stood victorious.
The party continued on their way, ready to journey on to the next level.
