This massive slab of granite is almost large enough to be considered a
boulder rather than something carved from one. Yet the edges have been
roughly cut away to form some semblance of rectangular shape. The front
side of the stone is mostly flat with crude carvings and markings. Close
examination seems to reveal a story of sorts, carved in seven pictures.
The first picture shows lots of long vertical lines with some short
jagged ones organized in splotches on top of them. They look to be trees
and there are two sets of them separated by some small wavy horizontal
lines. The waves could represent a river. There's an enormous stick figure
standing on the bottom side of the water pointing across. Sticking up from
the middle of the river is the top half of a stick figure.
Picture number two has the same wavy lines to represent water but in a
much greater quantity, as though they are meant to show a larger body of
water. The top edge has tree-like lines and there are a bunch of circles
that could be rocks stretching part-way out into the middle as though
they're the beginnings of a rudimentary bridge or causeway. At the end of
the rocks is another enormous stick figure, his arms in the air with a
circle between them.
The next set of markings is very similar to the second one. It has the
same picture of the lake, this time with the rocks extended all the way
across to the forest on the other side. There are three huge stick figures
walking across. Each has two sets of sideways squiggle-line trees under
each arm.
The fourth image shows a group of stick figures stacking the tree lines
on top of one another in sort of a square pattern as though to form very
basic structures. One stick figure has his arms in the air with a tree on
top as though it is meant to go on top of the structure.
Picture number five is very similar to two and three. It shows the same
big body of water and the rock circles across the center. In the center of
lake is a huge circle with lots of snakey lines extending off it. It has a
crude face drawn on it and the bottom half of a stick figure hangs out of
its mouth. A few others stand on the bridge with their arms in the air and
tree lines at their feet.
Number six shows two of the crude structures from figure four each with a
huge stick figure outside of them. One looks to be throwing small
oval-shaped items and there's a small pile of the same items a short
distance away. The other has one foot raised and looks to be stomping on
small little lines poking up out of the ground.
The final image shows a bunch of stick figures in a group and one more a
short distance away facing them. He holds a stick in one hand as though
he's wielding it above his head. He's bigger than the rest and his arms and
legs have been drawn with extra lines around them as though he's meant to be
extra muscley and strong. Sticking out from his face is a small crooked
line of a nose.
