As the trees in the original Rune Orchard were overtaken by the forest and
absorbed many decades ago, the original tree from which this core came from
was one of the unfortunate ones to fall prey to the ants. After they ate
away at its foundations and destroyed it from within, the only
indestructible part - the heart of the tree itself and a metaphorical heart
of the original Orchard - has fallen deep into the ant hill, unneeded and
forgotten. Something pulses within, but what it is isn't clear.
