NPC: Merriq, the navigator
Long Desc: Merriq, a stocky minotaur, holds up a sextant while gazing into the ocean.

Merriq the navigator was with the Magencia even before Mericus took over
in a pirate's dual with the previous captain.  Legendary among the ports of
the world, Merriq's sense of direction and ability to read maps ensured him
a place among Mericus' new crew.  Merriq is paid well for what he does, and
the Magencia has never been lost under his watchful eye.  It goes to show
that his love for the ship is more than the love of whoever is the captain
of the ship.  You'd suspect that as long as he is assured to stay on the
ship as navigator, he doesn't care who captains it.
He is a minotaur approximately 6'0" tall.
