NPC: A pious mermaid
Long Desc: A solemn-looking mermaid swims about absentmindedly.

Devout, proper and attentive, this mermaid prepares the sanctuary for
Metonychoseuthis, with Swiveling Hooks' return.  She glances at everyone to
ascertain that they belong here, and lowers her eyes in deference.  Merfolk
society is highly patrilinear, and females are rarely sufficiently educated
to be of much use, especially in highly-regimented places, particularly one
as important as this.  She mainly maintains the habitat and the environment,
and cares for the mages and scientists so that they may concentrate on her
work.  The gender workload doesn't look particularly equitable, but nobody
ever said that life would be.
She is a mermaid approximately 5'5" tall.
