NPC: An irritated basilisk
Long Desc: A serpent-headed crane faces away from you, examining something.

Basilisk are birds with the heads of snakes, and are infamous for their
unchecked ability to turn any other creature that see to stone.  Whether
this is due to their horrible visage, or unknown magical powers, none can
say for certain.  This basilisk is facing away from you, luckily- but you
must be careful, for some breeds of basilisk are also easily-startled, and
nobody wants that.
It is a basilisk approximately 6'11" tall.
