NPC: A rare gemsnake
Long Desc: A small snake slithers along with beady bright ruby eyes staring up at you.

The scales of this unique creature appear to be some kind of mineral that
resembles raw and uncut diamond.  According to local legend the gemsnake is
the result of a failed experiment from a wizard with a rather questionable
reputation for his use of nature in unnatural magical experimentation to
force their evolution.  The skin that is shed several times each year can be
worth a great deal to gem prospectors and jewelers alike.  The skin of this
strange snake provides a strong defense against would-be treasure hunters
making it able to withstand blows that any normal snake would be slain from.
A potent venom injected from a pair of crystalline fangs can render some of
the most powerful attackers paralyzed while the snake escapes.
It is a snake approximately 1'5" tall.
