This quest is called 'Earthguard's Armor', for Adventurers levels

Description of Earthguard's Armor:
For those new to the Order, their next task is to gather materials with
which we will build them a set of armor. While we work with the spirits,
protecting and revitalizing the elements that flow through the Forest, you
must still be protected from the howling winds and scratching thorns, and so
you will journey out into the Forest and gather the following. Delve into
the Ant Hill, Rune River, to the Devastation and to the Dark Forest. Battle
those of the Malachite Golem, and collect the components for your armor.

Earthguard's Armor consists of:
Phase 1: Obtain the Heart of the Forgotten Orchard from deep in the Ant Hill.
I was able to kill "A diseased old ant staggers around, carrying a strange wooden sphere on its back." An ant leper, the Forgotten One collapses lifeless to the ground. You take the Heart of the Forgotten Orchard from the corpse of an ant leper, the Forgotten One. You have completed a part of your quest! I am not sure if the item can also be found on the ground.

Phase 2: You may get lucky and the elemental might not be there. Also, make sure you have a means of levitating in order to get down and obtain the bark.
Phase 7: You must kill Rais and obtain the armor to complete the quest. Becareful, he uses bombs and can blind you and his corpse explodes upon death. —

Phase 2: Obtain the ancient bark of the Clockwork Oak from beneath the waterfall in Rune River.
From entrance: all w, 4n, 13w, 4n, w, n, 2w, n, nw, d. enter waterfall, down, get bark. be prepared to fight a no-flee mob: violently fizzing elemental. —

Phase 3: Seek out a vinebeast, and use the Earthguard's Talon to shave off some of their vines.
*A towering vinebeast worms its way through the trees.
Find this mob (usually by the Rabid Wolf area) and attack it. Then hold and use the earthguard's talon that you were given when you got this quest. —

Phase 4: Collect ten fallen leaves from the Oak from the forest floors.
Straightforward - pick up the leaves on the ground in forest floor.
"A leaf has fallen from the trees above and settled here." —

Phase 5: Slay a corrupted spawn to reclaim one of the Oak's roots, then present it in the Forest Spirit's Shrine.
By now you should be familiar with the Devastated Clearing's location (from recall 2e, 2s, 2w, all s). Go there and look for a corrupted spawn and kill it. Loot 'one of the Oak's stolen roots' from the corpse and take it to the forest spirit's shrine. (from desolation's entrance: 7w, n, 5w, 2n, d. —

Phase 6: Steal supplies from the storehouses of the insane marauders near the Devastation.
From the heart of desolation, go all west, 2sw, w, s and get supplies. —

Phase 7: Slay the leader of the insane marauders, and claim his armor as your own.
Continue the west path from the previous step and find Rais the insane then kill him to complete this phase. —

Phase 8: Journey to the Circle of Stones in the western Dark Forest.
