This is the very back of the temple, where the staircase from the road
ascends to.  There are two giant torches here, blazingly alit with fire.  A
red carpet begins to the shere and heads down a center aisle toward the
altar of Dira far off to the south.  You also spot a walkway going off to
the east and west which forms side aisles along side the main one.
