You stand in the entrance of the common room of a small inn, right at the
northern edge of Xaventry.  The room is quiet and a small fire has been lit
in the back.  The only sounds come from the soft music of a drunken bard who
has slumped into a chair in front of you.  Upon closer inspection of the
bard, he appears to be lost in thought, endlessly gazing at the dancing
flames.
