This is Lathyrus Trail, a plain woodland path that serves the resident
followers of Maradas as a road to get to and from their temple and the rest
of Xaventry.  Most of the houses you pass by are made of crude stone and are
rather short for a human to live within.  After thinking about this for a
while, you realize that gnomes and dwarves are the prime worshippers of
Maradas, and they are quite stout indeed.  Just to the south of here is a
schoolhouse for the children of these followers.  
A weary adventurer is wandering the streets looking for a place to rest.
