This room has only one feature within it, a stairwell.  The staircase
ascends upwards for quite a distance, probably leading back towards the
temple you hope.  However, you don't remember seeing a staircase anywhere in
the temple above that descended to any place such as this.  Other than the
stairs, there is nothing else special to see in this small room.
