Room: Shrine of Night

Shrine of Night - - - (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> # - - - This large room is the main hall of worship for those children of the shadows. There are 12 rows of pews in the center of the room and 8 ionic columns running down the length of the hall. There are no windows or statues in the room, only a set of double doors through which you came. The walls are made of a cold, black stone and are clean of any dust or cobwebs. The ceiling is so black that it appears to never end. Candle-lit chandeliers hang above the pews, six in a line over each row. At the head of the room is the altar, made of black marble with a dark violet cloth draped over it. On the cloth is the circle surrounding the inverted triangle in gold. Two brass candles flank the altar and a goblet made of gold inlaid with amethyst and emerald sits in the center. You see a large statue of a black robed figure carved out of onyx. The statue is at least The Dark Priest of the Shadows stands behind the altar, overlooking the acolytes. A young acolyte in black robes kneels in worship here.
