Your entire body shivers with uncontrollable cold as you approach the
darkness.  You can barely see your hands in front of your face, even with
the light you have created.  The wailing noises become louder and pierce
your mind with psychotic screams of torment and anguish.  The hallway
continues west for another ten feet, but your confidence is so low that you
are almost ready to turn tail and run back east.
