The little light in this room is woefully inadequate to dispel the
shadows that gather around the room's edges.  The dark stone floor is cold
and bare.  The black walls are stark and unadorned.  To the east the hallway
is cloaked by a veil of darkness.  To the north, south and west, three oak
doors protect whatever may be beyond them.  
     An ancient iron key lies on the ground here.
An assassin stands on guard here, alert for intruders.
