The darkness to the west is seemingly impenetrable giving great depth to
the cave.  Bones line the ground many of them broken and crushed while a few
of them have large scratch marks across them.  Whatever beast lives here
made sure to leave the scattering of bones at the entrance to ward off
intruders and strike fear in to their hearts.  The bright light to the east
leads outside and to freedom.
