The Bottom of a Marble Staircase                       -      -     NE

As you look up, you see the underside of a gigantic marble staircase. 
The height of the stairs almost makes you dizzy.  The walls are covered in
many priceless paintings, each of a different room in the castle.  There is
light shining in from a large stained glass window, causing a colorful view
of the whole room.  To the northeast is the first step on the staircase, and
to the south is the hallway.
