The catacombs are a roughly hewn tunnel with an occasional stone arch to
support the roof.  Niches are cut into the walls at regular intervals. 
These niches contain the bones or ashes of the poor souls interred here. 
There are two small family burial chambers to the east and west.  The
catacombs continue to the north and south.
