The Winton arena is well known across the continent.  What was once a
peaceful sparring den has turned into one of the bloodiest deathmatch arenas
in existence.  The magicks used by those sparring in it have left a
permanent effect on the area, manifesting itself in a never ending,
localized thunderstorm.  Other magic is effected as well, and the unstable
energies leave a physically sticky, zappy feeling in the air.  
Swirling ominously overhead are large storm clouds, lit by occasional flashes of lightning.
A thorny, red-veined vine twines its way around your feet.
