A few bales of hay are placed in the corner of the average sized stall
along with small troughs of fresh water.  There is ample space for the
horses to move around, even though the light is bad and the floor is piled
with more hay to make it comfortable for them.  
A stable boy runs from stall to stall checking on the livestock.
