The desert comes to a corner here with the meeting of the canyon to the
east and some large mountains to the south.  The sand here is full of large
rocks and the sand is only about 6 inches deep here.  Many small creature
are looking for food in the rocks here.  
A tsetse fly is looking for things to eat here.
