You are standing in a three way intersection of hallways apparently
carved out of the granite mountain itself.  You notice that the floors show
no signs of dust or dirt from the outside and consequently see no footprints
or even worn spots from constant travel.  The hallways are quite spacious
and a torch resting in the sconce beside the door provides the only
illumination you can see in any direction.  The air here is bitterly cold
and crisp, colder than the windy gorge outside.  You hear sounds echoing
faintly throughout the intersection but are unable to locate the source.
