The tunnel is well worn from travel.  The walls are worn from years upon
years of travel from the numerous guards that have graced the caverns.  The
floor of the tunnel has been worn to the point where the stone is almost
slick.  The torches that line the walls have long since gone out from the
damp air, throwing the area into darkness.  
A wandering soldier walks about on some errand or another.
