Tiny rickety wooden stairs fill this stairwell, dark black wooden walls
close in about you creating a sense of impeding doom.  The air here is thick
and damp and difficult to breath, your chest feels as though a huge weight
is laying against it.  Holding your torch high in the air you try to
penetrate the inky blackness, fearing what may lie before you.
