This is the entrance to the garden of the long dead souls.  To the west
is a door made of ice.  There is a note, which is very faded and difficult
to read, encased within the icy door.  To the east you hear water gently
bubbling forth from a fountain.  There are birds and the occasional ghost
mixed among the living castle folk that wander in and out of this area.  
A long suffering, rather abused looking lab rat is attacking anything that moves.
