There are several perches mounted into the walls and along the ceiling. 
A raspy singing can be heard in the shadows, from which emerge several
hideously ugly harpys.  They smell dreadful, and have filthy, matted hair
and feathers.  Their song is mesmerizing even though it is off key and in a
language you do not understand, and before you know it they gather and lunge
at your face.
A lesser harpy flutters about, protecting the queen.
The harpy flaps about the room cursing at the top of her lungs.
