It seems that this pathway to and from the east is quite a popular one
with the castle guests and guards.  Judging from the vast ammount of food
containers and wrappings littering the ground, this path has been used
recently.  The weeds and other plants beside the path have been trampled
rather badly, some of the footprints you see are huge!
