Beaten Path Around the City                            NW     -      -

The path continues to the northwest and east.  A strong blast of freezing
air blows in from the south as you huddle deeper into your clothes.  People
hurry by, quickly making their way towards the city.  Not far away, the
stomping sounds of horse hooves signify the passing of merchants' wagons. 
You can clearly see the city gates and more than half of the magnificent
castle.  To the south are the edges of the plateau upon which the city of
New Kolvir is built.  
A large boulder crashes down from above and shatters directly behind you!
