This is a large, precariously sloping ledge that meets the temple to the
north and to the west, where the upper floors of the structure are.  Several
large granite gargoyles, their expressions smooth and certain, adorn the
ledge in three places.  The gargoyles spit water out over the lush courtyard
below.  A grotesque face has been carved into the rock that makes up the
western wall.  
A small, odd-looking bird with a pointed beak is flying around.
