'Best of luck to you Zazou!' the pit boss exclaims. 'Remember, the way out of the pit is a large stone portal below.'
You climb out of the observation hut and fall in to the arena.


  This is the western side of the combat pit.  The walls are raised high
with large boulders.  The ground is firm and a mist of death crosses the air
in a stench that enrages the barbarians and chills the cowards.
A thorny, red-veined vine twines its way around your feet.
