The street narrows here, coming to a dead end under one of the archer's
towers.  It is one of the four towers dedicated to the archers in New
Kolvir, since when you are situated upon a mountain long distance attack is
always more effective than hand to hand combat.  The traffic slows down
around this segment making it unusually quiet, an occasional parade of
archers moving up and down the walk changing shifts.  
     An old, but sturdy, oaken ladder leads up to the tower.
