This small balcony is protected by an ornate iron railing, and gives you
a nice view of the estate.  Lush green vines have wrapped themselves around
the bars of the railing, and they are among the only plants you've seen here
that remain alive.  Directly below you is a dense group of hedges, laid out
in strange twisting patterns.  You wonder what purpose these plants serve,
and why they look so well tended.
