Large brocade tapestries and brightly colored paintings of vivid battles
line the walls.  The scenes are from days gone by, and regale the stories
passed on to young children by their parents.  Heavy drapes of plush velvet
are suspended from the vaulted beams and are tied back with thick braided
cords.  The thick velvet drapes also help to dampen the noise created by the
guests.  Footsteps echo sharply on the polished marble tiles, and hushed
whispers can be heard in rooms to the east and west.
