  A frighteningly tall ladder leans awkwardly against the massive shelving
that supports numerous volumes of books on anthropology and zoology. 
Described in these tomes are a variety of horrific creatures, their eating
habits and habitat.  Each gives detailed accounts from explorers who have
graciously recounted their chance meetings with theses beings.  So terrible
are the stories that they have been allowed to stay in print if only as a
warning to would-be adventurers who may someday encounter them.  Many of the
books have dark brown streaks along their outer edges signifying how
dangerous even paper cuts can be if delivered by the right subject.
