Room: West Avenue
This room is within Palace of Diocletian.
West Avenue - N - (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> # - S - Like the atrium, the avenue is an equally long rectilinear plan, extending across the exterior portion of the palace. Roughly 16 feet wide and composed of carefully cut and regularly shaped blocks of stone, the pathway allows pedestrian traffic to flow north and south. Opening to the east is a small cubiculum, used to house a number of palace residents. The rooms are shadowed by the tall palace walls to the west. The sliced off tail of a tiny sparrow is lying here.
