As you enter the main foyer the state of disrepair the once sacred
catacombs becomes fully evident.  The scraps of what used to be a thick red
carpet lay scattered it shreds as a mockery of what the dignity this place
used to stand for.  Burnt-out torches still inside their now rusty iron
holders line the cold limestone and granite blocks that form the walls while
an elaborate series of cobwebs decorate the corners of the foyer.  Fog and
an acrid scent seems to be coming from the hallway to the north while the
rest of the foyer expands in southern directions.
