This small, dank cell is infested with insects, rodents, and other
disgusting creatures.  There is a terrible odor coming from a small pail in
the corner where prisoners relieve themselves.  Along each wall are all
kinds of scratches, probably from attempted escapes from this hellish room. 
The only light filters in from the hallway and the sheer lack of light in
the hallway makes this cell extremely dark.  It is no wonder that many of
the prisoners to make these cells their home have gone blind.
