Catacomb Passage - N - (-------------------------------------------------) - <---(M)---> E - S - You are in a slightly smaller passageway than the floor above. This appears to be the oldest part of the crypt. The stones that makeup the walls are crumbling and there is a thick layer of dust covering the ground. The smell of death is heavy on this level, but it is old death. Most likely this crypt was used for wealthy and prominent members of Templeton's society when they were first built. You see signs of lavish decorations and light-holders that were stolen long ago. Some of the tattered pieces of quilts and wall hangings still remain, and a broken light-holder made from solid gold lays undisturbed on the ground.
