A Defiled Altar of the Manari                          -      -      -

The eerie hallway comes to a halt here.  This apparently was once an
altar that the Manari that were caretakers of the catacombs used to perform
religious ceremonies.  With the passing of years since the last of the
Manari abandoned the cathedral or died, the altar has fallen into decay. 
With the recent release of the demon Semiramis, her evil powers have defiled
and corrupted the altar and it is now used by her minions as a place to
sacrifice and perform extremely gross and evil rites.  Blood covers the
altar and the ground along with many humanoid body parts and strange
symbols.
